Carl W. Adams, Partner and Director of Development
Carl W. Adams has created, written, edited and directed numerous award-winning animated programming for television and cable networks. At Clambake Animation, LLC, he serves as Director of Development, creating, developing and producing shows.
Carl is currently Executive Producer and Co-creator of ADULT SWIM’S Assy McGee, which debuted in November, 2006, and is now in its second season. This is Carl’s second successful series for Adult Swim – he served as Co-Executive Producer for the award-winning and critically acclaimed Home Movies that aired for four seasons. Carl was the Producer of several animated shorts for CARTOON NETWORK’S Sunday Pants series. His innovative work as an editor, story writer and director for COMEDY CENTRAL’S first animated series, “Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist,” helped garner a Primetime Emmy Award, as well as a network Peabody and two CableACE Awards. This series guest-featured dozens of all-star comedians minds and ran for six seasons.
Carl also co-created and produced NOGGIN’s first original animated series, “O’Grady,” a teen show featuring some of television’s most talented comedians. He produced animated segments for Cosby on ABC, while simultaneously producing, story writing, and directing Dick and Paula Celebrity Special for FX.
Before founding Clambake Animation in 2007, Carl spent 16 years in animation with Tom Snyder Productions (now a Scholastic Company) and is currently developing several new projects for web and broadcast.
André G. Lyman, Partner and Creative Director
André Lyman is an expert in creative and technical artistry, serving as Creative Director at Clambake Animation. With responsibility for the art direction and production of Clambake’s work, André is a highly skilled animation team builder, hiring and overseeing only the best artists, animators and video post-production specialists for Clambake productions.
Currently serving as Creative Director for ADULT SWIM’s Assy McGee, André has a 15-year track record of successful engagements, working as animation and production director for TV shows on virtually all of the major networks. Additionally, he has directed animated spots for clients on behalf of leading advertising agencies.
Among André’s credits are Director of Production for WGBH/PBS KIDS “Time Warp Trio,” an action-adventure animated series for 6-11 year olds airing on DISCOVERY KIDS ON NBC and THE DISCOVERY KIDS CHANNEL. He served as Director of Animation and music opening/closing composer for NOGGIN’s first original animated series, “O’Grady,” a comedic look at real teenage life—the relationships, the drama, and the “weirdness.” André was the Art Director of several animated shorts for CARTOON NETWORK’S Sunday Pants series. With Tom Snyder Productions, André composed the theme song for the Assy McGee series. He directed animation for ADULT SWIM’s “Home Movies” during its four-year run. For the FX NETWORK, he designed and was Art Director and Video Editor for the “Dick and Paula Celebrity Special,” and was Art Director for ABC’s Saturday morning block on “Squigglevision. With COMEDY CENTRAL, André served as Video Editor, Post Supervisor and Background/Character Artist for the Emmy-award winning Dr. Katz series during its 81-episode run.
Carrie Snyder, Partner and Managing Director
Carrie Snyder has a solid reputation for guiding operations, management and marketing at companies ranging from small start-ups to international corporations. She serves as Partner/Managing Director at Clambake Animation, LLC, where she is in charge of company operations, financial management, legal affairs, human resources, business development and profitability. She is the business director for all Clambake Animation-produced TV shows including Cartoon Network/Adult Swim’s Assy McGee, animated shorts for WGBH’s Between the Lions, PBS’s Electric Company, an animatic for a Saatchi TV ad, and all shorts and original content.
Carrie’s career spans 25 years covering a range of business activities. She was most recently founder and president of Griffen Events, an events management and public relations firm. Prior to that role, she was director of corporate operations for start-up venture Co-nect, a leading provider of K-12 professional development services. Co-nect was later sold to Pearson.
Carrie was one of the earliest employees at Lotus Development Corp (now and IBM company), the software company that developed Lotus 1-2-3, the program that persuaded corporate America to start using desktop computers. There, she created the company’s first trade show and events department, overseeing 70 international events per year and a multi-million dollar budget. She developed and produced Lotus Week, a 10,000 person international customer event, still continuing today under the name LotusSphere. She grew to hold a variety of sales, marketing and communications positions, including director of Lotus’ international public relations department and director, executive operations for a 1,200-person Consulting Services division.
Prior to Lotus, Carrie was a start-up employee at Tom Snyder Productions Inc., where her brother, Tom, is known as the “founder of educational software,” and creator of award-winning animated programming for television including Dr. Katz ad Science Court. Carrie has numerous interests outside work, but mostly enjoys spending time with her husband, William.
